BONDED JEWELLERY
Bonded jewellery, also known as permanent jewellery is a one-of-a-kind accessory that is custom fit and welded together without a clasp.
WHY BONDED JEWELLERY?
Bonded jewellery makes jewellery long lasting, personalised and one of a kind since its a piece you generally would not take off. Simply select your chain, where you would like your jewellery and we will bond the chain for an everlasting finish.
Jewellery can be sentimental and designed to last for generations. You can get a matching one with your significant other, child, mum, sister, or get it as a gift to yourself.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our process is designed to make the experience simple and curated. Start by booking an appointment online using our book now feature (if you are looking at coming with a friend or wish for two chains we suggest booking two back-to-back appointments). We will send you an email including our chain options to ponder, or you can simply select on the day. Once you arrive at your appointment the process is very quick and takes less than 20 minutes per piece.
WHAT MATERIALS ARE USED?
Our studio offers a selection of 14k solid gold, 14k gold filled or sterling silver chains. Refer to our 'gold explained' post at the bottom of the page. Jump rings used for bonding are only 14k solid gold or sterling silver.
DO I HAVE TO ORDER CHAINS?
We have conveniently hand selected a base range of up to 9 different chains to choose from to increase the simplicity with creating your curated experience. Our current range includes four types of 14k solid gold chains, three 14k gold filled and two sterling silver that are ready to go. Check out our social media for current styles in our range.
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
Bonded jewellery and our range of solid gold chains are designed to last a lifetime. You can wear it in the ocean, in chlorinated water, during showers, and for everyday wear. Sterling silver and gold filled options may be more prone to tarnishing and require regular polishing.

Care for your jewellery by washing with warm soapy water after exposure to chlorine or salt water to reduce tarnishing. To increase the longeivty of your jewellery avoid using harsh chemicals such as cleaning products or perfumes. Refer to our Jewellery Aftercare for more information.
WHAT IF I NEED TO REMOVE IT?
Although the concept is that your bonded jewellery is long-lasting, we understand that there are times when you may need to remove your jewellery.
Removing the jewellery can be done easily at home by carefully cutting the welded jump ring on the chain. This keeps your original jewellery length, and allows you to have your jewellery re-welded back in studio with us for a small fee. Alternatively you can schedule an appointment with us to have it safely removed.
DOES IT HURT?
No, not in the slightest! Your jewellery will be welded with a small flash of light within seconds and is completely pain free.
